The advantages of UV inks can be attributed to their instant curing properties, which allow for rapid curing and film formation. This speed can be particularly beneficial in high-speed inkjet systems, showcasing the competitive edge of UV inks. To achieve rapid curing, UV inks utilize high-functionality curing materials; however, due to the need for low viscosity, a substantial amount of low-functional monomers is used, which can impact the curing speed to some extent. To compensate for insufficient curing speed, one may need to increase the energy of the light source or extend the curing time.

UV white ink also differs from traditional solvent inks in its usage. Since UV ink can be combined with white ink, it enables the printing of a captivating relief effect. This phenomenon arises from the accumulation of white ink creating a relief effect, which is subsequently followed by the application of colored UV ink. The resulting embossed effect can be obtained through a single printing process. Conversely, other solvent inks cannot be blended with white ink, hindering the ability to produce a relief effect. Additionally, the diameter of pigment particles in UV ink is less than 1 micron, it does not contain volatile organic solvents, boasts ultra-low viscosity, and lacks an irritating odor, ensuring that the ink will not block the nozzle during printing. According to professional tests, UV ink has been subjected to high-temperature conditions for six months, showcasing very satisfactory results with no pigment aggregation, sinking, delamination, or other abnormalities.

Currently, UV inks dominate the packaging digital printing market. This dominance is primarily due to the high stability of UV ink, as it does not dry out due to exposure to air. Therefore, even when the print head is used intermittently, there is no need to worry about the inkjet head drying out or ink clogging. Furthermore, UV LED curing lamps possess a compact structure and outstanding drying effects, which can cure printed images almost instantaneously. The cured images are highly durable, making UV inkjet suitable for both industrial printing and high-fidelity image printing. For high-fidelity printing, UV inkjet offers two valuable add-ons: the ability to print on smooth surfaces and the aptitude to print on textured surfaces.
