According to the event organizer, the exhibition welcomed 34,202 professional visitors. Total attendance increased by 65% compared with 2025, while international attendance increased by 157%.

These results reflected the growing interest in additive manufacturing, 3D printing materials and production applications across Asia and international markets.

From Filament to Finished Applications

The INKCLOUD display was designed to make material characteristics easier to understand through finished prints.

Instead of presenting filament only as a product on a spool, we displayed decorative models, transparent prints, lifestyle-inspired objects and interactive pieces. Visitors could examine surface textures, compare colors and observe how different materials and geometries interacted with light.

These physical examples helped turn material descriptions into visible results. They also demonstrated why filament selection should consider more than color alone. Printer compatibility, model geometry, slicer settings and the intended application can all influence the final print.

Conversations Beyond the Product Display

The most valuable part of the exhibition was speaking directly with visitors about their printing and purchasing requirements.

With printed samples available for comparison, visitors could point to a surface, color transition or model detail and explain the result they wanted to achieve.

Makers and creative users were particularly interested in color options, surface appearance, ease of printing and creative applications. Professional buyers focused more on batch consistency, supply capacity, sample evaluation, color customization, technical documentation and private-label support.

These discussions helped us better understand the different expectations of individual users, printing studios, distributors and commercial customers.

Materials Made Easier to Understand

Some filament characteristics are difficult to communicate through specifications alone.

Selected interactive pieces printed with INKCLOUD PLA PURE also allowed visitors to examine how individual components were assembled.

By seeing and handling finished objects, visitors could form a clearer connection between the filament and its possible applications.

What We Learned from the Exhibition

Formnext Asia Shenzhen 2026 confirmed that customers are not simply looking for more filament choices. They are looking for materials that match specific printers, applications, visual requirements and commercial objectives.

Creative users value accessible materials, attractive colors and reliable printing experiences. Business customers also require stable quality, batch consistency, dependable supply and responsive technical support.
